Polyethylene (PE)

Polyethylene (PE), often called polythene, is one of the world’s most popular plastics. Polyethylene can be found in a huge range of products ranging from clear food wraps and shopping bags to detergent bottles and car fuel tanks. Polyethylene is produced in two versions, namely Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).

Low Density Polyethylene

LDPE has higher tensile strength than HDPE, it exhibits higher impact and puncture resistance than HDPE.

APPLICATIONS: General purpose film, extrusion coating, milk packaging, heavy duty, injection moulding, wire and cables, plastic wrap, stretch wrap, pouches, toys, covers, lids, pipes, various containers, dispensing bottles, wash bottles, tubing, plastic bags for computer components, and various molded laboratory equipments.

LINEAR LOW DENSI TY POLYETHYLENE (LLDPE)

LLDPE is a substantially linear polymer, with higher tensile strength, impact and puncture resistance than LDPE. They possess better environmental stress cracking resistance.
LLDPE has penetrated almost all traditional markets for polyethylene; LLDPE is used in manufacturing plastic bags and sheets, plastic wrap, stretch wrap, pouches, toys, covers, lids, pipes, buckets and containers, covering of cables, geomembranes, and predominantly flexible tubing.

HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE

Comprises an excellent selection of UHMW sheet, UHMW rod and UHMW shapes. UHMW is Ultra High Molecular Weight polyethylene bar that has exceptionally high abrasion and impact resistance properties. It will outwear all other materials, including metals, nylons, urethanes and fluoroplastics. In corrosion resistance, it has the same qualities, as other polyethylene plastics. UHMW resists wear, friction and corrosion, thereby bringing down the maintenance costs, energy consumption & extending the equipment life.
APPLICATIONS: Guide rails, wear plates, rollers, conveyor augers, bin, hopper lines, chutes, bearings, bushings and gears.

HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (HDPE)

HDPE is known for its large strength-to-density ratio. It is also harder and more opaque and can resist high temperatures.
APPLICATIONS: High-performance pipe, blow-molded household objects like industrial bottles, oil bottles, injection-molded food containers, consumer durables, disposable goods and film goods such as grocery sacks and merchandise bags.

METALLOCENES

They are metallocene based linear low-density polyethylene – Polyolefin Plastomers and Polyolefin Elastomers. APPLICATIONS: Flexible packaging and polymer modification solutions.
